England, James Forsythe London, 8 day, double fusee, time and strike bracket clock, in a mahogany bell top case and with subsidiary calendar dial above the numeral 6. Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old and possibly original finish. The front door has a couple age cracks in the veneer and small veneer repair on the back door. The original front door lock has been replaced with a pin that passes through the original latch. The original dial has been properly resilvered. Hands are copies of the broken originals. The case originally had four small holes for finials that are now plugged, but included are a set of finials that would be appropriate Nicely engraved rear movement plate. The movement has had the old escapement converted to an anchor type.
