Edward S. Moulton, Rochester, New Hampshire tall case clock, the cherry case with fretwork top, turned finials and ogee bracket feet, numbered and signed by the maker, Roman numeral painted metal dial with seconds bit, calendar, and rocking ship, the back

the case has a very old refinish and is signed with maker's orientation marks and "NO 12". The fine fret work on hood is original with a glue repair. There is a split in the base with some restorations. The movement has typical NH style plate cutout. The dial has some oxidation on arch with rocking ship but is in otherwise excellent condition with fabulous Spencer & Nolan label still legible and mostly intact on backside. The tin can weights, hands and pulleys are original. The original hands are exceptional. E. S. Moulton was later listed as clockmaker in Saco, Maine.
