C. Brown, Bristol, Conn., 8 day, time and strike, spring brass movement column & OG top shelf clock, c1850 (1) Mahogany veneered case is in poor condition with loss and general lifting of the veneer. Various wooden parts are included. Dial and hands are missing; (2) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has veneer loss on the base and cornice. There is also lifting veneer on the door and cornice. Original painted dial is in poor condition. Panel in the bottom section is painted over. Center tablet is in good condition. Alarm works are missing from the movement. Wrong hands. Dark lifting label. (3) Rosewood veneered case in original finish has some veneer loss on the base below the two gilt columns and small damage at the top right edge. Original painted dial as age darkened a little with some loss at the winding arbors and mounting pins. Original hands and tablet with some loss. Dark label inside.
