(1) The case retains its dark original finish. There is some veneer loss along the base. The painted dial has loss in the lower right corner. The hands are period but mismatched. The door tablets are both original with minor loss. The lower shows P. T. Barnum's Villa Iranstan" which was destroyed by fire in 1854 while the other shows Ballston Springs; (2) The case has some original finish which is sparse in areas. The painted dial has darkened with age. The hands are replacements. The door glass gilt designs are in good condition but have lost some of their black backing. ***NOTES*** The dimensions are for clock number one.
