Forestville Mfg. Co., J. C. Brown, Bristol, Conn., ripple front steeple clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case. The case retains a wonderful original finish. There is a small piece of ripple molding missing on the right front base of the clock. The movement (unsigned) and dial may be from another clock. The painted dial is in very good condition. The hour hand is correct for this clock but the minute hand is not. The bottom glass (image of J. C. Brown's residence) is a replacement. The upper door glass is original.
