Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Parlor Calendar No. 2" double dial calendar shelf clock with a weight driven, 8 day, time and strike movement and a Mix Brothers perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case. There is a fair amount of veneer loss on the case top and bottom which has been filled in and does not match the adjacent rosewood veneer. The rest of the rosewood veneered case appears to have a heavy wax coat which, when buffed out, leaves a nice soft lustre surface, The original painted time dial has been repainted. The hands are original. The original painted calendar dial has been touched up and the dial has yellowed in areas. The calendar hand is original. The calendar roller labels are in good condition. The large internal label on the case back is in excellent condition as is the card on the back side of the front door which has the setup directions for the clock. All three door glasses including the center tablet are original.
