Elisha Manross, Bristol, Conn. steeple on frame shelf clock with an 8 day fusee time and strike Ives-style rivited strap brass movement in a rosewood veneered case. The case retains some original finish and has no veneer loss. The 4 finials all retain fairly sharp points. The painted dial is original but has a later curved cut out between XII and I, apparently to view the escape wheel. The hands are period, the hour hand original, the minute hand not but close. The upper door glasses are both original with the lower glass tablet showing a colorful design within a green border. The lower glass is original with another colorful design within a green border. The interior Manross label is in good condition.
