Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Bard" figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible brocot escapement in a spelter case on an enameled cast iron base, white enamel dial with Roman numerals. the entire case has been zealously airbrushed creating a bright multicolor finish over the original. Cast piece below dial is absent. Top urn replaced with a small putto figure, which has suffered a break at the ankle. Hanging ornaments on either side of the case are missing. Dial, hands, and beveled glass are in good condition. Signed movement ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term.
