This clock came to us from Northern New Hampshire, and was collected during the 1950s. Although the small hood clocks or Schippertje were made in great quantities after WWII for export, originals do not occur that often. The 3 gilt wood ball finials are original, Some case restoration, however you will find plenty of old components to reassure you. Note the 30hour bell strike continuous chain movement is original [needs serious cleaning], and is a very small version of movements used in larger Friesland clocks. Weights are old..
