European (Continental), small bracket clock, late 18th century, with fusee / crown wheel / pivoted pendulum movement, and engraved brass dial, in a primitive bell top case of English appearance, with slide-up back and with restorations. Approx 3 day

gut is worn and needs replacing, but was strong enough for a little wind and to show that the movement is running. Movement is held to a seat board via screws through bottom pillars, and that board is held in case with a single wood screw at bottom. Although case is quite old, it is probably not the original for this movement. Well engraved brass dial needs silvering. Object left side molding needs re-gluing. Still an attractive adaptation of a well made movement that will appeal to those attracted to mechanics. Movement plates measure 3 x 3.5in.
