those who know Austrian item will recognize the very top trim as the carved top from a night stand, now blackened to match the case. It does not look "bad" but something "delicate" would be more appropriate. Bottom finial is a replacement. The case finish is original, but there are some dry chips and losses to the rinish here and there. The rosewood grained backboard is fine. Beat scale at bottom has chips. Has a well made movement, good dial and matched set of hands. Nice matched pulleys with uncomon petal shaped spokes.
