Moberg painted glasses, lower glass signed by Moberg, repainted dial, case frames with batch numbers "62" on waist and "78" on waist case edge and on box frame, (this is not an indication of any condition problem and should not be viewed as such): Unusual side ornaments have scrolls in the usual position of diamonds cut out from the solid.

Howard & Co./Boston", brass bezel, flat frames for the reverse-paintings on glass, the lower depicting and marked "Constitution--Guerriere" in a blazing War of 1812 battle, a gilt patriotic eagle and banner tops the pendulum viewing port, all enclosed in a red, black and gilt oval cartouche with leafage surround and spandrels, the waist flanked with unusual brass side ornaments features repeating elements and colors set in an oblong border, the base carries a carved pedestal with acorn drop, eight day nickel plate movement marked "E. Howard & Co./Boston" with recoil escapement and viewing ports, maintaining power, and Geneva stop all powered by a lead weight and regulated by a brass faced pendulum bob with flat wooden rod and tie-down.
