James Tregent, Leicester Square, London, tall case clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with pagoda top with stop fluted columns, three brass finials, trunk with stop fluted quarter columns and brass capitals flanking the molded tombstone door, the base with frame molded center and straight bracket feet, composite brass dial with silvered chapter ring, four seasons spandrels, maker's boss, calendar aperture above 6 and strike / silent selector, brass clad penjdulum and weights the case retains an old finish. Decorative elements on either side of hood plinth are old but later additions. There is one brass column capital missing. The trunk door has a couple of abrasions near bottom. The dial has been cleaned, chapter and boss properly silvered and in excellent condition. One finial lacking screw
