Ansonia Clock Co., New York, rare "Emperor" model shelf clock, 4-glass crystal regulator, with cloisonne enamel inlay on all 4 sides, top and bottom, and faux compensating pendulum overall excellent original condition. In 37 years of selling, we have had only 1 other of this model. The most recent sale I find is lot 493 at Skinners / 2013, selling for $1140, and an internet dealer currently has one for sale for $1500. This clock has been well cared for during the last century and is truly impressive Except for a little wear on high spots, nearly all of the original gilding remains and with fine porcelain dial, good hands, high quality pendulum, and open Brocot escapement with garnet pallets.
