Timothy Chandler, Concord, New Hampshire, Roxbury style tall case clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a red stained yellow birch case with fret work top, three brass finials, turned columns flanking hood, fluted quarter columns with brass capitals flanking trunk door on base with nicely cutout skirt and straight bracket feet. The painted metal dial has floral painted spandrels, bird in arch, seconds bit and calendar wheel. the case retains an old finish with a great "T. Chandler" brand on the seat board. The right half of fretwork is broken and needs to be reglued. There is a repair to crack on right return cove molding. The seatboard has a very old cleat on the right side that corresponds to the very old additions to the risers. The outer dial including spandrels and arch has been cleaned, calendar wheel has flaking and the seconds bit has been touched up. The tin can weights are original.
