Robert Jack, Glasgow, Scotland, astronomical standing regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in a burl walnut veneered case with carved floral fretwork below silvered dial with maker's signature the case retains its original finish with some flaking to the veneer. There are age splits on the upper left and right side of case. There is a chip out of lower left side of door. The suspension block has been raised in the back of case to accommodate a lengthened suspension spring. The pendulum rod is missing the tray for fine adjustment. The silvered dial has some minor wear. The weight needs an appropriate S-hook. Movement with jeweling or end pieces removed, now with brass bushings, crutch with poor repair, back cock and pallet arbor at top of movement, but without apparent function, holes at rear of back plate for cock and arbors, now missing, pallets without locking
