case good, with minor dirt and marks, case back with depression at setting square, and added set knob, bezel screws replaced, dial with discoloration and poor restoration to figures and silvering, hands very good, movement with minor staining, running. Charles Frederick Hancock was a partner with the firm of Hunt and Roskell between 1843- 49, prior to establishing business under his own name. Hancock was one of Cole's most important retailers, and many examples of his work bear the Hancock name.
