France, mantel clock, 8 day, time only, spring-driven movement in incised black slate case on base with chamfered edges, supporting two full columns of green marble that flank a white porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, the case topped with a frieze and pediment with matching green marble accents. The black slate case has some of the typical foggy white spots and a handful of small chips on the edges and corners. There is one more substantial loss on the right top side. The beveled glass is fine. The porcelain dial has many hairline cracks on the right side. The hands have some oxidation. The unsigned square movement ticks but was not tested long term. This clock is heavy and fragile if shipping is a consideration.
