Vincenti & Cie, Paris, France, French empire four-column portico clock, 8 day, time and bell strike, spring-driven pendule de Paris movement in an ebonized wood case with elaborate gilt bronze ornaments, bezel, and pendulum, 3.5 inch silvered guilloche dial with Roman numerals, Breguet style blued steel hands. The wood case is in very good condition and has been repainted an appropriate black color. Its elegant cast mounts and pendulum retain a bright old patina. The silvered dial is very slightly tarnished. Originally, this clock would have been under a large glass dome. The movement, which is signed on the front plate, has been recently serviced. The clock ticks and strikes.
