Atkins & Downs for George Mitchell, Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock. Mahogany veneered case in an old finish in nice condition with original stencils. Dial has been restored and whatever finish that was applied has yellowed. Original glass tablet has been restored in place. Tablets with this large gold leaf border has been seen on several other Mitchell clocks. Period 'eagle" hands, carved paw feet and pineapple finials. Dark, but readable label inside.
