Gustav Becker, Freiburg, Germany, Vienna style wall clock, 8 day, time and strike (on a single chime rod), spring driven movement in a second Baroque style walnut case with short tapered columns and carved crest, embossed brass pendulum, cream porcelain dial and blued steel hands. The case has an old finish with a few bumps and nicks. There is a large split in the back on the lower right side. There are smaller splits in the wood above and below the dial opening. The porcelain dial is very good. Door glass is old and wavy. The back of the movement is stamped with the Becker trademark, the Medaille d'Or award, and movement serial number 416713. The movement ticks and strikes, if a bit sluggishly.
