Clocks- 2 (Two) German Free Swingers: (1) Carl Werner Uhrenfabrik, Villingen, Germany, "freischwinger" wall clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in an oak case with turned and carved ornaments, fancy brass pendulum, c1890. (2) Germany, freischwinger wall clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a walnut case with applied brass ornaments, c1900. (1) The oak case has been well cleaned and waxed. The silver has been scrubbed off the dial, leaving behind brass. There is a bit of tarnish on the pendulum bob behind the pierced center. Signed movement reads "Konkurrenz" with Werner's horse shoe trademark. (2) Case with a nice original finish. Applied ornaments missing from both sides of the crest and one turned piece is broken. Nice patina on brass pendulum and dial mask. Porcelain section of dial is very good, as are the hands. The unsigned movement has a recoil escapement. Dimensions are for the Carl Werner clock (1) .
