Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "12E Deck & Engine Room Clock", 8 day, time only, spring driven movement with jeweled lever escapement and center seconds in a black phenolic case with hinged bezel, 8.5 inch black dial signed by the maker and with "U.S. Navy", 12 and 24 hour markers, white spade hands, movement serial number 785464, c1974. Black phenolic case has developed just a slight amount of the mottled white surface typical of these clocks. The black dial is in excellent condition as are the hands. The movement ticks briskly.
