Clocks- 3 (Three) Chiming Mantel: (1) Herschede Clock Co., Cincinnati, OH, chiming mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with Westminster chime playing on 5 rods, spring-driven movement, serial number 25093 in a round gothic mahogaNew York case, silvered dial with engraved floral motif, c1920; (2) Ansonia Clock Co., Brooklyn, New York, "Sonia No. 4" chiming mantel clock, 8-day, time and strike with Westminster chime in a lancet walnut case with arched silvered dial with raised bronze numerals and subsidiary dials for setting the rate and chime/silent, c1925; (3) Gustav Becker, GermaNew York, chiming mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with Westminster chime, spring-driven movement in an arch top oak case flanked by barley twist columns, beveled glass door, dial with applied bronze numerals and subsidiary dials for rate adjustment and chime/silent selector, c1900. (1) Case has dark original finish. Silver has been worn through on the dial by the 9 o'clock position. Movement ticks, strikes and chimes but was not tested long term. (2) Case has some surface scratches to finish. Silvered dial is tarnished in spots. Hands have been shortened. Beveled door glass is in excellent condition. Signed movement ticks, strikes, and chimes but was not tested extensively. (3) Grain on the case is raised, but in good condition. The silvered dial has been uniformly rubbed down to brass. Original raised bronze numerals. The gong assembly and original rods are in good condition. Signed movement ticks, strikes, and chimes but was not tested long term. Dimensions are for the Becker.
