Deck watches- 2 (Two), Zenith / Vail Watch Co., 8 day, mounted chronometer watches, 15 jewel stem wind and set nickel movements, silvered dials with wind indicator and blued steel hands, contained in gimballed brass bowls, with 3 tier mahogany boxes one running, the other will not set or wind, will run with pressure on train, one bezel glass missing, boxes dirty, and with minor scratches. The Vail Watch Co. was a subsidiary of Zenith, set up in the U.S.A. to manufacture automobile clocks. Vail received a U.S. government contract to increase the jewel count, and help reduce the shortage of available deck watches for the Navy.
