New Jersey or New York tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany and mahogany veneer broken arch case with French feet, banded inlay around plinth, center panel, trunk and hood door, ebony striping on four full columns flanking hood, three brass finials, brass rosettes on broken arch and crotch mahogany trunk door and plinth. The painted metal dial has bird's nest in arch and painted floral spandrels and calendar disc under center arbor. the case has an old refinish with minor restoration to the plinth. There is about an inch of the rear right front absent and a chip of the left front foot. The dial is in excellent condition. The weights and finials are older replacements.
