oily, minor staining, running, dial with haze and spotting, tip of hour hand shortened, glass with scratches and a few chips, bowl and bezel tarnished, inner surface of bezel with staining, bowl with two minor dents. According to the consignor, this chronometer was recovered by his father from an abandoned Japanese vessel at the end of World War II. He left the box, as it was too bulky to carry in his backpack.
