France, three piece mantel garniture set, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement, the case with cast Rococo style base supporting a sphere with applied roman numerals, the hands in the form of a snake, all surmounted by a cast metal putto with outstretched wings holding a garland, the two matching side pieces with putti holding aloft the candleabra. the cast metal base has lost much of its gilding. The spherical body of the clock and two hemispheres of the side pieces have been painted a dark shade of pink. Very nice snake-form hands. Count wheel and bell movement is stamped with a single anchor mark. The movement is oily.
