Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Atlanta", 8 day, time and strike, weight driven brass movement free swinging wall clock. Dark oak case in nice condition in an old finish. Finials are nice proper copies. The low plinths the finials sit on have been restored. The original dial has been repainted. This model was offered with a silvered dial c.1893, but later examples had painted dials. The model as shown in Tran Duy Ly's "Waterbury Clocks & Watches" p. 198, #599, shows the model from the 1893 trade catalog. However, a few years later Waterbury added brass embellishments to the case and their later twist-style brass weights. Original pendulum has a small ding. Original Waterbury hands. Movement signed.
