This chronometer was one of 41 listed in the Record of Trial of Repaired Chronometers, December 1886- June 1887, included in the 1892 publication "Observations Made During the Year 1887 at the United States Naval Observatory". Of the 41 chronometers in the trial, 22 were of Negus' manufacture.
