McGregor and Co., Glasgow & Greenock, a two day marine chronometer with double auxiliary balance, 10 jewel fusee movement with Earnshaw's escapement, and freesprung, cut bimetallic balance with Poole's and Eiffe's auxiliary compensation, diamond endstone, and blued steel helical balance spring, Roman numeral silvered dial with wind indicator, gold spade and poker hands, contained in a lacquered brass bowl, and mounted in an associated two tier mahogany box with gimbals, bevelled glass top, and lacquered brass furniture, serial #J/5817 running, movement with minor spotting, marks and scratches, maintaining power spring with specks of oxide, detent replaced and with added mounting block, original detent banking removed, bowl with some spotting, staining, and tarnish, dial with minor discoloration, hands good, key with minor verdigris and tarnish, box with minor marks and scratches, recess for original plaque does not fit the McGregor plaque, glass good, hardware with losses to lacquer and tarnish
