a rare clock with a brass case, which is bright with some very fine scratches from cleaning. The case serial number is 27024 which does not match the movement serial number exactly, but is the same year (1907) and numbering system used by Chelsea for clocks sold to the U.S. Life Saving Service. The silvered dial is in good condition with a very light amount of tarnishing. The hands appear to be original. The movement ticks.
