Siedle, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, "Pattern No. 99" hall clock, 8 day, time, strike and chime on five tubes signed Herschede Hall Clock Co., brass weight driven German movement in a carved mahogany case with full reeded Corinthian columns on the hood (in tandem) and the trunk door, beveled glasses on sides of hood and oval trunk door, carved large paw feet and trim on gabled top. The brass dial is signed by Pittsburgh retailer and has moon phase, silvered chapter ring with applied brass numerals and chime / silent and strike / silent selectors. the case retains its original finish with some scuffing on the paw feet and lower molding of hood. There is a repair to arch on hood door and some of the fine beaded molding on hood is absent. The dial has some light oxidation. The Crown Symphony Tubes are individually signed, patent date January 13 03.
