Ithaca Calendar Clock Co., Ithaca, New York, "No. 2 Regulator" or "Hanging Bank" wall clock with a double weight driven timepiece movement (Welch, Spring & Co.) and a H. B. Horton's patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case.
The case is in near perfect condition with a great original finish. The original paper time dial is in good condition with numerous abrasion marks. The original paper calendar dial is in very good condition with limited abrasion marks. The hands are all original. The calendar drum papers are original and nicely aged. The polished plate double wind timepiece movement is unsigned however the movement is identified as Welch, Spring & Co. on page 122 of Tran Duy Ly's "Calendar Clocks" book. The case is labeled "737" below the interior label and "723" on one of the calendar dial wooden support pieces. Clockmaker LaPorte Hubbell's shop clock, now in the collection of the American Clock & Watch Museum, Bristol, Conn., was a shelf version of this model.
