dirty, slate with minor flakes and chips, right side of base with crack, right side molding above cavetto with crack, plinth with chips below finial, finial loose, feet loose, front door lower hinge detached from case, upper hinge bent, dial with minor losses to numerals, hands with minor specks of oxide, rear glass with chips and substantial loss at upper right, movement dirty, ticks, strikes, and chimes correctly, pendulum rod replaced. Auguste Ecalle was located at the Palais Royal, Galerie Beaujolais, from 1880- 90. He was known for his work with precision timekeepers and chronometry, and was agent for Dent in Paris.
