24 October 2024
Paint is flaking off of the sheet metal tower. Green composition at the base is starting to chip off. Celluloid dial on the main clock is badly cracked. Only four the eight upper dials are present. All four have their hands. The movement escapes when the pendulum leader is moved by hand. Pendulum bob is absent. When working, the windmill vanes would turn once per hour via a vertical shaft from the movement below. Each small dial has a set of motion works to advance the individual hands. The movement is signed only "Germany" and "140" Clearly, this piece is a candidate for parts or considerable restoration.
