Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Dacca" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time, strike and alarm movement in an ash wood case, c1885 (1) The case has a darkened original finish, but the original stenciled decorations are nice. The painted dial is original with some restoration. The hands appear original. (2) The case retains some original finish. The four small finials on the case top are missing. The paper dial appears original but has wear. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The stenciled door glass is original.
