The white marble case is in very good condition. Some of the original gilding on ornaments and clock portion is intact. Much of the figure has been touched up with gold paint, but it looks good. Dial, convex beveled glass, and hands are all very good. Back of the case is stamped "Covington, New York" and has an applied medallion indicating that it was a product of France. The unsigned movement has rack strike that sounds on a bell.
