(1) Original battery powered lamp has been removed and wired with a modern plug-in bulb socket. The movement on this figure has a detached or broken mainspring. The bellows will need to be replaced. Solder from an old repair is evident on head-turn bell crank. The movement is not signed, but is stamped "Germany" and is typical of later Griesbaum figures when the company started to stamp their trademark on the bottom of the base. The base bottom is absent. The carved figure is in good condition. (2) Figure with original lamp will need to have the bellows restored. Movement shows signs of life including head motion. The movement is signed behind the bellows. The top of the lamp will need to be reattached properly. The bottom of wood base is absent. The carved figure is in good condition. These figures are worthy of restoration. Dimensions are for the figure with red glass lamp. Sold "as is ".
