(1) The wood case has an original finish. The painted metal dial has small losses just outside the chapter ring and an area of in painting to the left of the center arbor. The clock is missing its bezel and glass, as well as the backboard and pendulum. The rear wind and set movement is signed and has an intact chain for the fusee. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) was a British railway company formed in 1923 under the Railways Act of 192. The company was one of the world's largest transport organizations, as well as one of the largest commercial enterprises and employer in the UK. (2) The finish on the wood case has been rubbed down. The dial has two extra holes in it that have been filled, so is a replacement. Fusee movement with heavy brass plates is unsigned, but retains a chain on the fusee. Hands are a bit too small, so probably not original (or do not fit with the replaced dial). Pendulum looks correct. Dimensions are for the L.M.S. clock (1). Sold "as is ".
