Japy Freres & Cie, Paris, crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement with compensating pendulum in a green onyx case with flat beveled glasses front and back and curved beveled glass on both sides, gilt bezel holding a porcelain dial with numerals, blued steel hands. green onyx case is in excellent condition with no chips. There is a tiny bit of oxidation on brass portions of case. Gilt bezel is excellent. Porcelain dial is nearly perfect with the smallest of chips around the winding arbor holes. Beveled glasses are all good, except for a very small chip to one upper corner of the rear door glass. Original steel hands and double-vial pendulum. The movement is signed and bears the stamp of a Paris retailer reading "C. H. ". There is a bit of excess solder where the hammer mounts to its arbor.
