marble dirty and with minor flakes and abrasion, gilding with minor losses, one reeded band in base with spot of corrosion, rear foot replaced, ornament on case top incomplete, rear glass with chip, dial with hairlines and filled losses, hands good, movement ticks, strike train will run but rack does not fall when released, very gummy, should function properly following service, pendulum replaced

Courvoisier, a Paris, a late 18th century marble and gilt bronze mantel clock, the oblong base on toupie feet with inset, reeded mounts and central foliate ornament, and finished with a gilt bead molding, the gilt clock case with laurel and bowknot drop, and surmounted by a pyramid of fruit, the case supported bu two slender vasiform columns, with foliate and basket weave mounts, and gadrooned rings, arabic numeral white enamel dial, signed "Courvoisier a Paris", well executed pierced and engraved gilt hands, 8 day two train movement with crown wheel escapement, the Swiss style strike work mounted to the back plate, and with silk thread suspension, repeating the last hour on demand marble dirty and with minor flakes and abrasion, gilding with minor losses, one reeded band in base with spot of corrosion, rear foot replaced, ornament on case top incomplete, rear glass with chip, dial with hairlines and filled losses, hands good, movement ticks, strike train will run but rack does not fall when released, very gummy, should function properly following service, pendulum replaced
