Three of the numeral cartouches have hairline cracks. There are small chips in the enamel around the winding arbor holes. Side doors open from back to front. It is also worth noting that the strike train is located on the left and time train is on the right. The suspension shroud is 3.25 inches tall. Turned iron supports for alarm crown wheel, bell, and escape wheel arbor support. Four bladed iron fan. Teardrop shaped screw heads hold the movement together. The clock uses three hammers: one to count the hours, a second to strike once on the half hour, and a third for the alarm. Unusual stirrup-shaped double sided alarm hammer. Some light rust on the iron components within the movement. The clock does not come with weights or a pendulum. This clock represents a fascinating midpoint in the evolution from the use of small enamel cartouche numerals to large once-piece enamel dials. This clock was sold by Ivoire Saint-Etienne on June 2nd, 2012, as lot number 2.
