the case retains its original finish. The case compares favorably with the work of New Hampshire cabinetmaker David Young. The brass columns on hood are replaced (capitals may be original). The left side of the plinth has a spline from an old repair. There are two splits in arch on hood door. The finials are old replacements. The painted American dial has partial Spencer & Nolen label on rear. Very nice original hands. Fading on signature and numerals.
