E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 12 Regulator", wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement with a meter long compensated mercury pendulum with glass jar, in a walnut case with a painted metal dial and reverse painted tablet and on a purpose

may be displayed as a wall or standing model; hanger is still in place, as is the original bottom, which nests into the base. This clock is in overall excellent original condition including movement, tablet and pendulum rod with original gold leaf, and mercury filled thumb print glass jar. The original beat scale and walnut support has repairs. There are two stretchers that have been added with screws to the rear of the case to provide support in a standing configuration, and can be removed if desired. There is a paint flake near 12. Overall with base 87" H x 30" W x 12.5" D. Mercury for the pendulum is included and must be hand delivered. The level of mercury in the photograph is simulated and may differ from actual amount. We sold this specific clock in our April 2008 auction for $56,000 plus 10% buyer's premium.
