Shelf Anniversary Or 400-day
Three 400 day clocks, all with domes.
L to R. "Emurala Trading Co. Germany, nice case and porcelain dial but is discombobulated in the back. Will need some attention. The middle one is much better, fancy dial and engraved posts. Made by Emurala, looks like it should run with a suspension spring. Right one is the best, Kundo, porcelain dial, white posts and base, running real well.
Kundo 400 day clock, made in West Germany.
Excellent porcelain dial with painted garland of flowers. Entire case is sparkling clean, clock is running. With the dome it stands about 12 inches high.
C.1905, German, Jahresuhrenfabrik, 400 day clock with disc pendulum and old dome.
Condition: The old dome has a few small chips along the bottom but is still intact. Porcelain dial is good and movement is sound but dirty. The base has tarnished and will need polishing. Dome is at side in foto. Height 11 inches
C.1910, German, ÓThe Carp, Ò 400 Day clock with compensating disc pendulum.
Condition: Excellent original condition, the silvered dial with the remains of the little painted ÓYear LongÒ, just below the 12. And with original old, heavy dome. Height 12 inches
German Dome clock sometimes used with the 400 day movements, also under dome.
The large case is brass, including the dial, numerals are silver, and bell is nickel plated. 8 day movement strikes hours on the bell, brass pendulum, running very well. Clock is 15.5" high, with the original glass dome it is 16.5" high. Not signed anywhere .
Small 400 day, "Kern-West Germany", running.
Metal case, brass colored, cartouche numerals on the dial. Clean, fairly new. 7.5" under the dome.
Gustav Becker 400 Day Clock, C. 1920.
Folks this one is like new out of the box. Perfect mahogany base, ivory finished dial, dome, and movement, and on and on. Brass is polished top to bottom. Beat adjusting suspension bracket and suspension spring guard. It is running. Serial Number 1900782, dates the clock 1920-1922 range. I don't believe we have ever had a better one. Ly-Becker #108.
C.1910, German, Oval 4-glass 400-Day, clock in excellent restored condition.
The case has been professionally polished and lacquered and the movement cleaned. The fancy porcelain dial with polychrome wreath decoration is perfect; the hands are original. Height 10.5 inches
C.1902, Gustav Becker, 400-day timepiece in very good & clean condition with an original disc pendulum, movement & pend with the serial no. 1845500.
This is a well made timepiece that is mounted on an original 2-piece brass base. The porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are original. Glass domes is a later replacement, and fits fine; dome is standing beside clock in foto. Height 10.75 inches
C.1912, Kienzle Clock Factories, Huber Uhren, 400-day timepiece in a well made oak 4-glass case with a flat finish and disc pendulum.
The porcelain dial with a high quality bezel is in good condition and the hands are original. The serial number on the pendulum does not match the number on the back plate of the movement, and the F/S screw has been broken and repaired poorly. Although this case is maybe 50 years old, our impression is that it was made by a skilled cabinet man, as we have not seen the "ceiling mount" bracket used to hold the movement. Still an attractive combination. Height 12.25 inches
