Shelf Electric Animated Novelty

C.1930, Sessions Clock Co., Forestville, Conn, AQUARIUM , 110v, timepiece with angel fish appearing to swim around the clock in the center.

Condition: the rear of the aquarium has one full and another partial crack from age. This is a common malady; perhaps some modern glue could halt the progress of this cracking symptom. In any case, the cracks do NOT show from the front. This clock appears on the cover of American clocks, part 3, published by Tran Duy Ly, and relatively few are known to have survived. Ht 9" [23cm]

C.1950, Ceramic Clock Co, Chicago, WATERFALL timepiece, 110v, with spiral glass piece that rotates from a cast fountain to simulate running water.

Condition: the clock and dial are nice, in running order, and the spinning "water" is super. Sadly the cast white metal case is failing at the rear of the base, with cracks and separation. Would require a spelter specialist [like Charles Carrick] to repair. Among the more interesting automations 11.7" [30cm]

C.1950, United Electric Clock Corp, Brooklyn, NY FIREPLACE, 110v, timepiece, brightly colored imitation fire rolling in the fireplace to the right of the clock.

Condition: overall very good original condition; cast white metal case with original gold tone plating in excellent order. Clock runs fine. Press switch on the rear for the light. Ht 8" [20.5cm]

C.1948, Haddon Products, Inc, Chicago, Ill, 110v, THE TEETER TOTTER, electric timepiece with lighted animation below dial.

Condition: Excellent working order, and with good dial and lighted scene below, the only minus is that the white case has been re-painted. Rear steel cover is a bit rusty and no longer legible. Dial is extra nice. Ht 11" [28cm]
