Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Fountain" figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with cream porcelain dial and blued steel hands mounted within a case depicting a young woman drinking from a tall fountain.
The case has been sprayed with gold paint. The paint is scuffed in a couple of places. The porcelain dial is in very good condition, as are the hands. Ansonia style pendulum. The round Ansonia movement is signed.

cast metal figure, clock drum, and applied ornaments have been repainted gold. Portions of the black iron base have scratched paint. Figure appears to be in good condition. Enameled dial is very good. Hands and pendulum are correct. The movement is signed. In the Roman pantheon, Mercury was the god of commerce, eloquence, messages, communication, travelers, boundaries, luck, and trickery.

The white marble case is in very good condition. Some of the original gilding on ornaments and clock portion is intact. Much of the figure has been touched up with gold paint, but it looks good. Dial, convex beveled glass, and hands are all very good. Back of the case is stamped "Covington, New York" and has an applied medallion indicating that it was a product of France. The unsigned movement has rack strike that sounds on a bell.

The black slate case has some chips at the corners. The white enamel dial has fine cracks in the lower right portion. The spelter figure has been touched up with paint. The clock and figure were glued to the top of the slate case in recent years and the brown epoxy is visible along some of the edges. If this clock ever had feet they are now absent.

cast case is in very good condition. The gilding is excellent, complete with burnished highlights. The clock has no front bezel or rear door because it once lived under a glass dome. The white enamel dial is excellent but for a hairline on the left side and a faint line radiating from the center arbor hole. The slightly awkward orientation of the hand on the ax and completely burnished ax handle may indicate a replaced part or simply a questionable artistic choice. Original steel hands. Signed Japy movement strikes on a bell and bears the "Grande Med d,AeoHonneur" award.

Cast iron and cast metal case in very nice restored condition with some scratches on the top. There are holes in the top that align with the holes in the statue. The statue is currently not attached. Original porcelain dial is fine. Original hands.
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Summer and Winter" double figural shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike visible escapement movement in a cast spelter case on a green enameled base.
The case is in very good condition. The green finish on the cast spelter shows fading and areas of loss. The signed porcelain dial has a hairline crack at 4 and some minor chipping at the time winding arbor. The beveled glass in the bezel is in excellent condition. The movement is signed.

The case is in very good condition with restoration to the bronze finish. The cartouche dial is in excellent condition. The hands are original. The rack and snail strike movement is signed. The statue seems a bit deep for the case top but since it was available as a separate item, it may not have matched this specific base.
