Germany, "Elite", 8 days, time and quarter hour strike spring fusee brass movement tambour style mantel clock with Westminster chime on gongs.

Refinished mahogany and mahogany veneered case has a couple dings on the base front molding and the curved area. Original silvered dial has a little wear and scratches at the winding arbors and some scattered white spots between 1 and 3 o'clock possibly from wear to the finish that protects the silver from tarnishing. Movement is marked "Elite" and "B & D" (Bawo & Dotter): Bawo & Dotter were New York City importers of European clocks. This movement is possibly by Winterhalder and Hofmeier although is not signed.
