Revere Clock Co. mantle clock, ca. 1920.

12 inches high fancy mahogany case with four carved steeples, original finish. Small piece of trim missing on three of the steeples. Fancy silver arched dial, good beveled glass. Telechron electric movement plays Westminster chimes on gong rods, running. Inside back door has original key to set time and excellent synchronous chime label. Good collectable telechron clock.

American "store regulator-shop clock" or known by a number of other names.

There is no label and the movement is not signed. The dial paper has been replaced, hands, pendulum and stick are correct. The pressed oak case with designs all over and a wheat shock ornament at the top, are also all-correct. No base, both glasses are old, top with paint, would assume they are original. The 8-day movement is running. This is a pretty nice, restorable clock.

Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. extra large mantle clock, "Long Branch", ca 1895.

The case is 28 inches high and 16 inches wide, and in very good original condition. The finish looks more walnut or mahogany than oak. I see only one place a repair was made, an ear on the upper left side. It is a good repair and you have to be looking for repairs to even notice it. The full columns are rope twist, with other rope twist pieces around the top. Lots of grooves, ripple, applied moldings, and other special effects wood work, making this a very attractive clock. I will call the top finial original but who knows. Every one of this model you see has a slightly different finial.

French Art Deco Chrome and Marble Clock, ca 1930's.

Typical round French movement runs 8 days, strikes half hours and hours on a nickel bell. Black marble base and top, veins of brown and white, faced in front with brown and cream marble. Clock housed within four beveled glasses like a crystal regulator, top supported by four chrome columns with brass capitals and bases. Art deco pendulum.

English Double Chain Fusee Bracket Clock by the Scottish clockmaker John Cook.

The silver dial is signed by the maker, "John Cook and Son, Greenock". John Cook was active in the period 1820-1836, but his firm John Cook and Son, worked until 1860. Greenock is a small town near Glasgow, Scotland. As was customary in those days this movement was probably cased and sold in London. Excellent 8 inches silver dial, etched for black numerals, hands questionable. Pendulum is most unusual with a cylinder bob on a wood stick. Front door is carved and there is a carved insert behind the glass.

Junghans 8 day Westminster chime movement in a arch top case.

Instead of bells, there are 5 rods. Plays the chimes each quarter, strikes the hours. Large signed movement is mounted to a seat board, running and striking properly. 5.5 inches silver dial is in very good condition, little wear, marked on the dial, "Made in Germany for Kuehl Clock Co., Chicago". Bowed-beveled glass in the brass sash. Walnut case is 16 inches high, good string inlay and marquetry on the front. Complete, original, in very good overall condition.

Seth Thomas, "Chime Clock No. 64", ca 1915.

Westminster quarter hour chimes on 5 "Sonora" resonated bells. Can be silenced leaving only the hour striking. 8 day movement marked "89AG", Sonora Chime movement marked, "90B", both running and striking properly. 14 inches high mahogany case has shaded marquetry on the front. Full back door with latch and brass cover with cutouts for sound to escape. 6 inch silver dial is signed, has painted numerals. Wear around all the winding arbors. This is one of their more attractive cases. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 715.

French mantle clock cased just a bit different, ca about 1900.

15 inches high to the peak top, grooved and curved feet, laminated case, front edges covered with grooved trim. The outer skin is walnut veneer, and it is in very good condition. Brass dial, ring, and sash, has not been polished recently, etched numerals, a little wear around the hand arbor. 6 inches dial, heavy beveled glass. 8 day round French movement, gong strike. The movement has several things engraved on it; "H and H", "Made in France", "Vincenti Medaille D'Argernt", and the serial number "2041" which is also on the pendulum.

Winterhalter and Hoffmeyer chime mantle clock.

The refinished oak case is in very good condition with no visible damage. 8 inch silvered dial with etched numerals, in excellent condition, no tarnish or rubbing. Bowed-beveled glass in the brass bezel is released from the case by a button on the side. Recessed panels in front outlined in brass, 4 unusual brass feet. Excellent oak case is 14 inches high. Full back door with metal screen covered with red cloth. Signed 8 day movement, strikes half hours and hours on a gong. Pendulum may be original, if so, has had some repairs.

Welch, Spring and Co. Eight Day Patti. V.P., ca 1885.

This Patti V.P. (Visible Pendulum) came to us as part of a large collection from Oregon. Most of the clocks had been in an attic for years. Only thing I can find that is not original is the minute hand. The black walnut case has never been cleaned or refinished, and retains the 120 years accumulation of smoke and oils on the wood. There is no case damage, glasses and dial are original. Most of the old label remains on the back. Movement is 8 day, time, strike, and alarm. Alarms and strikes hours on a nickel bell.
